The Office of Planning, Sustainability and Project Management (PSPM) acts as a resource and single point of contact for UIC’s colleges, departments and administrative units on all major construction and facility renovation projects. For these projects, the office serves as UIC’s official representative in all planning, procurement, design and construction activities that typically require coordination with outside professional and contracting services responsible for design and construction.
PSPM supports the University of Illinois’ mission by facilitating and overseeing the development of and adherence to policies, procedures, and systems pertaining to the built environment of the University.

PSPM provides complete project management services which include conceptual planning, feasibility studies, program definition and development, cost estimating, project scheduling, budgeting, cost control and construction administration for all facets of remodeling, renovation, infrastructure improvement, and new construction projects.
PSPM’s professional staff of licensed architects and engineers seeks to provide aesthetically pleasing projects of the highest quality and standards based on a standardized delivery system utilizing the latest in technology. The office also strives to utilize a delivery methodology that is understandable to the university user and facilitates the delivery of projects conceived and constructed in the best interest of the University.
